Teen stabbed at Howard Co. high school

A teenager was stabbed Thursday afternoon at a school in Columbia, Maryland.

Howard County police were called to Hammond High School just before 1 p.m. for a report that a 15-year-old girl stabbed a 17-year-old boy she knew.

Investigators said the school resource officer responded immediately — and the boy was taken to a hospital. He has since been released.

The girl was taken into custody near the school a little while after the attack.
