Regional alcohol program partners with Lyft for Cinco de Mayo

WASHINGTON — Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP) has teamed up with the ride-share app Lyft to offer rides home for those who have been out drinking on Cinco de Mayo.

Lyft is offering $15 credit for a ride starting Saturday at 7 p.m. through 4 a.m. Sunday for what WRAP is calling the SoberRide program.

Riders must be at least 21 years old to receive the credit.

WRAP was founded in 1982 with the goal of reducing the number of drunken driving incidents around the region.
