President Joe Biden will make a statement Thursday morning after an overnight raid in Syria’s northwestern Idlib province that the White House says killed Islamic State leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi.
A U.S. official said he died by exploding a bomb that killed himself and members of his family, including women and children, as U.S. forces approached.
