PHOTOS: Wizards Let the Dogs Out with new theme nights and giveaways

While the Washington Wizards may not be competing for an NBA title any time soon, they are certainly trying their best to get fans in seats to watch a rebuilding franchise with the release of their unique promotional and theme night schedule.

For the first time, the Wizards will hold the very creative Hoops and Hounds night on Jan. 5, inviting fans and their dogs to watch the Wizards vs. New Orleans matchup.

Pups in the Park has been a staple at Nationals baseball games for many summers, but that is an outdoor facility and of course the Wizards play indoors. Hopefully a dog waste dispenser comes with a ticket!

On opening night, the Wizards will give out “For the District” t-shirts to all fans that attend the Oct. 24 game at Capital One Arena. The Wizards will also host a variety of theme nights, including Harry Potter Night on April 3, with the first 5,000 fans winning a Wizards Harry Potter-inspired scarf. The first 10,000 fans will also be treated to a Space Jam: Corey Kispert bobblehead giveaway on Jan. 1. Fans will also be able to take home a French-themed Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr double bobblehead on Feb. 10.
