Looking for a new car this Fourth of July weekend? Check out some of the best deals

U.S. News and World Report gathered intel on some of the best new car deals available for the Fourth of July weekend.

The cars include top sellers from Ford, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Kia, Lincoln and Infiniti. The models are all from 2020, and many of them include interest-free financing for a number of years or low-cost leases. See the gallery below for more details on the models and terms.

2020 Toyota Supra

Purchase Deal: Up to $3,500 cash back

After a hiatus of more than 20 years, Toyota brought the Supra back to America’s sports car enthusiasts. Surprisingly, they’re already discounting the sports coupe with up to a $3,500 cash-back offer in many regions during the Fourth of July holiday.

The new 2020 Toyota Supra, which shares its underpinnings with the 2020 BMW Z4, carries a 335-horsepower turbocharged six-cylinder engine. The enthusiastic-sounding powertrain sends its power to the rear wheels through a responsive eight-speed automatic transmission. Its exceptionally balanced chassis handles the curviest byways with aplomb.

In our ranking of luxury sports cars, the 2020 Supra earns a spot in the upper half of the list. It comes standard with a host of advanced safety and driver assistance technologies, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Upgrading to the Supra 3.0 Premium gets you an 8.8-inch touch-screen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay.

2020 Ford Mustang

Purchase Deal: 0% financing for 60 months

There’s nothing much more patriotic than rolling to a barbecue in a new 2020 Ford Mustang. One of America’s quintessential muscle cars, the Mustang is available in coupe and convertible models, with power output ranging from merely potent to incredibly powerful. It’s the top-rated model in our ranking of sports cars.

In most areas of the country, Ford is offering a five-year zero percent financing deal on most Mustang models this Independence Day. Compared to paying a market interest rate, the no-cost financing offer will save you thousands of dollars over the life of the loan. Of course, an excellent credit score is required to take advantage of the Mustang deal.

In addition to its wide array of available engines, the 2020 Mustang features agile handling and a high-quality cabin outfitted with heritage touches. While base models are pretty bare-boned, upgrading a trim level gets you features such as Ford’s intuitive SYNC 3 infotainment system.

2020 Honda CR-V

Lease Deal: $310 per month for 36 months with zero due at signing and no first month’s payment

If you’re in the market for a compact SUV, the 2020 Honda CR-V deserves a place on your shopping list. Not only is it the top-rated model in our ranking of compact SUVs, but it’s also the winner of our 2020 Best Compact SUV for the Money award.

This Fourth of July, Honda is offering a zero-down three-year lease deal on the CR-V, with no first month’s payment. Though the monthly payments are significantly higher than the lease deals they’re offering with cash due up-front, the zero-down lease will save you money in the long run. The lease deal is available on the two-wheel-drive CR-V LX and has a mileage cap of 36,000 miles.

For many compact SUV shoppers, the CR-V checks every box on their wish list. It features a roomy interior, excellent fuel economy, and plenty of cargo room for weekend adventures. For 2020, Honda made the Honda Sensing Suite of advanced safety and driver assistance features standard. Now every CR-V comes with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist.

2020 Nissan Sentra

Purchase Deal: 0% financing for 60 months and no payments for 90 days

Nissan completely redesigned the compact Sentra for the 2020 model year, giving the sedan updated styling and an interior far more inviting than Sentras of old. The new model comes loaded with safety and driver assistance technology, including forward and reverse automatic emergency braking.

The 2020 Nissan Sentra holds a spot at the bottom of our compact car ranking, though that’s more a statement of the strength of the segment than an indictment of the Nissan. Compared to rivals, however, the Sentra’s 149-horsepower engine and continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) feel unrefined. The sedan’s sweeping coupe-like roofline compromises its rear-seat space.

Depending on the model you choose, you’ll get either a 7-inch touch-screen with a four-speaker audio system or an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Nissan’s Fourth of July Sentra deal offers zero percent financing for five years. Though no payments are due for 90 days from purchase, it’s a good idea to start paying as soon as you can, so your payments have a better chance of keeping up with the car’s depreciation.

2020 Infiniti QX60

Purchase Deal: 0% financing for 72 months with no payments for up to 90 days

Infiniti is offering zero percent financing on nearly every model in its lineup this Independence Day. That includes a six-year interest-free deal on the 2020 Infiniti QX60, an affordable, powerful mid-size three-row luxury SUV. You can delay your first payment for up to 90 days.

The QX60 seats up to seven and has plenty of room for their cargo. It’s powered by a 295-horsepower V6 that’s matched to CVT that performs well. Front-wheel drive comes standard, with all-wheel drive available. Its predicted reliability score of 3.5 out of five is a bit above average.

In our ranking of luxury mid-size SUVs, the QX60 earns a spot in the upper half of the list.

Infiniti’s Independence Day zero percent deals are available on models ranging from their Q50 sedan to the massive QX80 luxury large SUV.

2020 Lincoln MKZ

Purchase Deal: 0% financing for 72 months plus $1,000 bonus cash

With Lincoln ending production of the MKZ sedan, opportunities to get a great deal on the car will likely soon end as well. This Fourth of July, you can snag a six-year zero percent deal with $1,000 bonus cash. The deal is only available to buyers with excellent credit scores.

The 2020 Lincoln MKZ is a competent highway cruiser with a smooth ride, above-average trunk space, and the capable SYNC 3 infotainment system. Lincoln is also offering a zero percent financing deal on the efficient 2020 MKZ Hybrid, though it doesn’t come with the bonus cash.

Unlike most rivals, Lincoln offers multiple powertrain options for the MKZ. In the base model, you’ll find a 245-horsepower four-cylinder. It can be upgraded to a 350 or 400 horsepower twin-turbo V6 engine or a 188-horsepower hybrid powertrain. Front-wheel drive comes standard, with all-wheel drive available.

The MKZ holds a spot in the lower half of our luxury mid-size car ranking. It has a slightly above-average predicted reliability rating of 3.5 out of five.

2020 Kia Soul

Lease Deal: As low as $149 per month for 24 months with as little as $2,419 due at signing

Depending on where you live, you can lease a 2020 Kia Soul this Fourth of July with payments ranging from $149 to $179 per month, with $2,919 due at signing. If you’re trading in another vehicle or ending a lease, Kia will knock another $500 off the amount you have to pay at lease signing.

The 2020 Soul is one of the highest-rated vehicles in our subcompact SUV ranking. It is the winner of our 2020 Best Subcompact SUV for the Money honor and was a 2019 Best Cars for Teens award winner.

Its boxy hatchback design creates a large cabin with plentiful cargo space. The standard infotainment setup in the LX model included in the lease deal features a 7-inch touch screen plus support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Soul LX is powered by a 147-horsepower four-cylinder engine matched to a six-speed manual transmission.

There’s a mileage cap of 24,000 miles on the lease deal, which is only available to shoppers with qualifying credit.

2020 Honda Fit

Lease Deal: $169 per month for 36 months with $2,199 due at signing

This Independence Day, Honda is offering a lease deal on the top-scoring vehicle in our ranking of subcompact cars. You can lease a 2020 Honda Fit with payments that aren’t much bigger than some people’s cell phone bills, and a reasonable amount due at signing.

The Honda Fit lease deal applies to the base Fit LX equipped with a CVT and has a mileage cap of 36,000 miles over the three-year lease term. Unlike some rivals, the base Fit doesn’t include much in the way of infotainment or advanced safety and driver assistance technology.

2020 Kia Sorento

Purchase Deal: Up to $5,500 cash back

Kia is offering an excellent cash-back offer this Independence Day on the 2020 Kia Sorento. In addition to the initial $4,000 rebate, you can get an additional $1,500 cash back if you’re trading in a qualifying vehicle or ending a lease. Most vehicles from the year 2000 or newer will qualify for the trade-in cash.

The 2020 Sorento is one of the higher-rated vehicles in our ranking of mid-size SUVs. With an excellent blend of features and price, the Sorento was awarded our 2020 Best 3-Row SUV for the Money honor. Its predicted reliability score of 4.5 out of five is unsurpassed in the class.

2020 Ford F-150

Purchase Deal: Up to $4,750 cash back

Ford is offering as much as $4,750 cash back during the Fourth of July holiday on America’s favorite pickup, the 2020 Ford F-150. However, you’ll want to move quickly, as plant closures driven by the coronavirus pandemic have left some dealers with limited stock of popular full-size pickup models. This offer is not available everywhere, so be sure to contact your local Ford dealership for details.

In our ranking of full-size pickups, the 2020 F-150 earns the top spot. Not only does it have a fantastic predicted reliability rating of 4.5 out of five, but it’s also offered with a broad variety of engines, cabin styles, trim levels, and bed lengths. Properly equipped, it can tow up to 13,200 pounds or carry a maximum payload of 3,270 pounds.

Depending on the model you choose, the F-150’s cabs can seat between three and six. At the top end of the lineup, trims such as the Platinum, King Ranch, and Limited have interiors that rival the interior appointments of some luxury cars. Engine options include several V6 turbos, a V8, and a diesel with excellent fuel economy.

2020 Ford Ranger

Lease Deal: As low as $239 per month for 36 months with $3,539 due at signing

Shoppers looking for a pickup, but who don’t need the capacity of a full-size truck, have plenty of money-saving options this Fourth of July. In addition to their F-150 deals, Ford is also offering lease deals on the 2020 Ford Ranger.

The terms of the lease offers vary greatly based on where you live and the model you choose. One of the best is the Ranger lease deal available in parts of the Southwest, with payments of just $239 per month on a Ranger XLT SuperCrew with rear-wheel drive.

In our ranking of compact pickups, the Ranger earns a spot near the top of the list. It comes standard with a 270-horsepower turbo-four that allows properly equipped trucks to tow as much as 7,500 pounds. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, while four-wheel drive is available. Base models come standard with automatic emergency braking, an onboard Wi-Fi hot spot, and Ford’s MyKey teen driver system. Upgrading one step to the Ranger XLT gets you the easy-to-use Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system.

2020 Honda Civic

Lease Deal: As low as $240 per month for 36 months with zero due at signing and no first month’s payment

During the height of pandemic shutdowns, many car lease customers simply extended their current contracts. Now those extensions are ending, and some automakers are aggressively going after those lease shoppers. Honda, for one, has rolled out a zero-down offer on the popular Civic sedan.

This Independence Day, you can lease a 2020 Honda Civic in many regions with payments of $240 per month for three years with nothing due at signing. Though the monthly payments are higher than those on lease offers with down payments, you’ll still come out ahead in the long run. The zero-down deal applies to continuously variable automatic transmission-equipped Civic LX models and has a cap of 36,000 miles. Only customers with excellent credit scores will qualify for this offer.

The 2020 Civic earns a spot near the top of our compact car ranking. The sedan gets excellent mileage, has an upscale interior, and handles better than most class rivals. All 2020 Civic sedans come standard with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist. It was a finalist for our 2020 Best Compact Car for the Money award.

2020 Nissan Murano

Purchase Deal: Up to $6,250 cash back

For much of the year, Nissan has been offering great cash-back deals on its upscale two-row SUV. This Independence Day is no exception, with a cash-back offer of up to $6,250 available on the 2020 Nissan Murano. It places about two-thirds of the way down in our mid-size SUV ranking.

While the Murano’s interior design is getting somewhat dated, its seats are some of the most comfortable you’ll find in any SUV. Nissan calls them Zero Gravity seats, and they provide front and rear outboard passengers with all-day comfort.

2020 Toyota RAV4

Lease Deal: As low as $209 per month for 36 months with $2,999 due at signing

In some regions, Toyota is offering a fantastic lease deal on one of the most popular SUVs in the marketplace. The 2020 Toyota RAV4 lease deal applies to the LE model with all-wheel drive, and has a cap of 30,000 miles over the three-year lease term. This mileage limit is lower than what many lease offers provide.

The RAV4 comes loaded with standard safety and driver assistance technologies. Its Toyota Safety Sense package includes automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, and lane tracing assist, which helps keep you centered in the lane when using cruise control. It’s a 2020 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick.
