At Bourbon Steak, he’s serving four politically-fueled cocktails, including the Give Em Hell, Harry (bourbon, Lustau cream sherry and house-spiced tincture), Sherry Cobbler (Lustau sherry, brandy, muddled berries, lemon juice, ginger and bitters), The Chief (a dry martini with white truffles, Absolut Elyx vodka and house-made truffle brine, stirred and served up with a truffle pecorino olive) and the Wizbanger (scotch, grenadine, absinthe, dry vermouth, orange bitters and a twist). Hillary’s Inbox includes Absolut Elyx vodka, Drambuie, Blue Curacao, Orgeat syrup, lime juice and soda; Trump Tower is made from Earl Grey-infused Absolut Elyx vodka, Aperol and Dolin Blanc vermouth. Signature cocktails include Hillary’s Last Word (Bombay Sapphire, lime juice, green chartreuse, Luxardo Maraschino and grenadine, garnished with a maraschino cherry and lime zest) and the Trumpy Sour (Knob Creek bourbon whiskey, whiskey barrel-aged bitters, lemon and honey, garnished with a sprig of thyme and a dehydrated lemon slice). WASHINGTON — Between the scandals, the he-said she-said and the never-ending attacks, it’s safe to say that those paying attention to this year’s presidential race are in need of a cocktail — and a strong one at that.

Thankfully, a handful of bars around D.C. are conjuring up festive concoctions to take the edge off the 2016 election. Here are a few to sip on around town.
