WASHINGTON — Oreos are getting a carnival twist with its newest flavor, but the cookie brand is not happy that word of the confection leaked online.
A leaked photo on Instagram shows photos of cotton candy-flavored Oreos. The cookie has swapped its traditional black cookie and white filling for a golden cookie with pink and blue filling.
Nabisco confirmed to MarketWatch that the photos were leaked, but would not comment about when consumers could see the cookies in stores.

“It’s been brought to our attention that some of our top secret OREO flavors are leaking,” said Oreo spokesman Alan Keane in an email to MarketWatch.
“As we get to the bottom of these cookie leaks, we can only say time will tell when our next delicious flavor will hit shelves.”
The photos were posted by an account that was later deleted, MarketWatch reports.
This isn’t the first time Oreo has made some alterations to its cookies. In the past, it has rolled out flavors such as red velvet, root beer float, peanut butter cup, cookie dough, marshmallow crispy and watermelon.
