The Fairfax County police say they’ve busted a retail-store theft ring, arresting three people and recovering more than $76,000 worth of merchandise allegedly taken from area stores.

WASHINGTON — The Fairfax County police say they’ve busted a retail-store theft ring, arresting three people and recovering more than $76,000 worth of merchandise.
The police say that last Friday, store security at the Lord & Taylor store in Tysons Corner Center called to say that the three people allegedly involved in the ring were in the store.
The three left and tried to drive away, but were caught in the parking lot. Police found $76,000 merchandise and tools that they say were designed to defeat store security systems.
Oleg Lazanovitch, 39, and Iryna Karp, 28, have been charged with grand larceny, possession of stolen property with intent to sell and possession of a burglarious tool. Kateryna Nosul, 20, has been charged with providing false identity to law enforcement. All three are from Florida.
