‘Game of Thrones’ concert coming to Verizon Center

WASHINGTON — It boasts arguably the most epic theme song on television.

Now, get ready for HBO’s “Game of Thrones” live in concert.

Live Nation revealed details Monday on the “Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience.”

The concert will kick off in Kansas in February 2017, followed by a total of 28 U.S. cities, including Washington D.C., New York and Los Angeles, as well as three dates in Canada.

The show comes to our area at Verizon Center on March 1, 2017.

The concert will reportedly feature Ramin Djawadi’s famous score performed by a live orchestra and choir, accompanied by footage from the show on giant LED screens atop a 360-degree stage.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday at LiveNation.com.
