WASHINGTON — It’s a bittersweet day for fans of TV’s “The Mindy Project.”
Fox has canceled the comedy after three seasons, but a new streaming version may be in the works.
The show, starring Mindy Kaling (“The Office”) and Chris Messina (“Argo”), received plenty of critical acclaim, but didn’t bring enough ratings for Fox to renew for a fourth season.
The show averaged a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers in 2014-15.
However, there may be hope for fans.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that talks are underway to continue the show on the streaming service Hulu for two more seasons.
