Police investigate fatal shooting in NE DC

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Northeast D.C. Sunday, leaving one dead.

The victim has been identified as Edward Ferrell, 43, of Northeast D.C.

Police say they responded to the 1900 block of Capitol Avenue just after 5 a.m., where they found Ferrell inside a residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

D.C. Fire and EMS found no signs consistent with life.

D.C. police are offering up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information with leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. They are asked to call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.
