WASHINGTON — An 80-year-old man was seriously injured Saturday after he fell down a ravine and into Rock Creek while jogging.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. in Rock Creek Park near 24th Street and N Street in Northwest D.C.
A bystander saw the man fall and helped him to get out of the water.
D.C. Fire and EMS responded to the scene and removed the patient from the area, which was inaccessible to vehicles.
The man’s injuries are not life-threatening, according to D.C. Fire and EMS.
