Street closures, parking restrictions in DC for Chinese New Year parade

WASHINGTON — A Chinese New Year parade Sunday in and around Chinatown in D.C. will result in several street closures and parking restrictions, D.C. police say.

Delays are to be expected and police advise motorists traveling in the area to consider alternative routes.

Streets that will be closed between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • I Street NW between Fifth and Sixth Street
  • H Street NW between Sixth and Seventh Street
Streets that will be closed between 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • I Street NW between Fifth and Eighth Street
  • Eighth Street NW between I and G Street
  • G Street between Eighth and Seventh Street
  • Seventh Street between G and H Street
Streets with parking restrictions between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • I Street NW between Fifth and Sixth Street
  • Eighth Street NW between Sixth and Seventh Street
Streets with parking restrictions between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • I Street between Sixth and Eighth Street
  • Eighth Street between I and G Street
  • G Street between Eighth and Seventh Street
  • Seventh Street between G and H Street
