WASHINGTON — Photos and video of the word “SHITHOLE” projected onto Trump Hotel in D.C. took Twitter by storm on Saturday night.

The projection, surrounded with a background of animated poop emojis, was a reference to Trump’s alleged comments about immigrants from Haiti and African countries — “shithole countries,” Trump is accused of saying earlier in the week, according to multiple sources.

Video tweeted by D.C.-based, multimedia artist Robin Bell, of Bell Visuals, shows a series of projections on the hotel’s facade, followed by the popular anti-Trump hashtag “resist.”

Some of the projections read: “Not a DC resident? Need a place to stay? Try our shithole.”

This protest is not first the Bell has projected onto Trump Hotel, or even other buildings. In September 2017, “TRUMP IS A BOMB THREAT” was broadcast on the building, along with “THIS IS NOT A GAME.”

In December, employees at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention were told to avoid using seven words, which Bell then projected onto Trump Hotel in protest. Words from the vocabulary blacklist included diversity, vulnerable and science-based.
