Police seek suspects who robbed, assaulted victims attempting to sell shoes (Video)

WASHINGTON — Two suspects robbed and assaulted two others whom they met to purchase a pair of shoes Tuesday evening, D.C. police said.

The two suspects met two others in the 2600 block of Woodley Place in Northwest around 5:35 p.m. Tuesday after, through an online forum, one of the victims had agreed to meet them to sell a pair of shoes.

When they met at the specified location, one of the suspects handed over $30 for the shoes, but the victim said it wasn’t enough, according to a police report of the incident. That’s when one of the suspects took the shoes and ran away, police said. The first victim chased after him.

The other suspect fled on Woodley Place and the other victim chased him. That suspect hit the victim on the head.

Police responded and the victim who was hit turned down medical attention, according to police.

Police didn’t immediately locate the suspected, but they were captured by nearby surveillance cameras.
