WASHINGTON — A 13-year-old boy was arrested for having gun in Northwest D.C. on Friday.
D.C. police responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of Connecticut Avenue, near the National Zoo, where they saw three black males walking northbound.
Police said in a report that they stopped the group in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue A boy, who was part of the group, was carrying a backpack that he told police belonged to someone else.
Officers found an Ekol Dicle 9mm PAK Blank gun and eight shell casings.
The boy was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Processing Center, according to the report.
