WASHINGTON — A teenager was shot and killed in Northwest D.C. Tuesday night. D.C. police are investigating the death as a homicide.
On Wednesday, D.C. police identified the 16-year-old victim as Yoselis Regino Barrios.
The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on the 1300 block of Rittenhouse Street. Officers responding to the sounds of gunshots discovered Barrios and one adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
Barrios and the adult male victim were transported to area hospitals, where the adult male victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Barrios was pronounced dead after life-saving efforts failed.
