Police use stun gun on ATV rider; arrest made in Anacostia Park

WASHINGTON — An arrest has been made Saturday evening in a clash between local law enforcement and ATV riders at Anacostia Park.

At 6:20 p.m., a stun gun was used on a man who took a fighting stance when approached by a police officer, Sgt. Anna Rose, with the U.S. Park Police told WTOP.

The man was part of a group of six people who were stopped for illegally operating ATVs in the park.

Rose says the man was arrested and nobody was hurt, including the man arrested.
