$25K reward offered for info. in D.C. double homicide

WASHINGTON — Two people are dead after a shooting in Northeast D.C. Thursday afternoon.

The shooting happened in the 500 block of 58th Street in Northeast D.C. around 12:57 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found two men who had been shot in what they are calling a double homicide, says D.C. police’s Karimah Bilal.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man was transported to an area hospital where he died, Bilal says.

Police have not released the identities of the men at this time.

Police say they don’t have any information about suspects or a motive at this time.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information can should call police at 202-727-9099. You can anonymously text information to 50411.
