Manhole explodes in D.C.

WASHINGTON — A manhole in D.C. exploded Wednesday morning.

D.C. firefighters were dispatched to 17th and L Street.

D.C. Fire spokesman Tim Wilson said a fire broke out, and firefighters put it out.

The cause of the explosion is unknown at this time.
