Chris Brady records eighth clean sheet of the season and the Fire beat the Red Bulls 1-0

HARRISON, N.J. (AP) — Georgios Koutsias scored in the 64th minute, Chris Brady made two saves for his eighth clean sheet of the season and the Chicago Fire beat the New York Red Bulls 1-0 on Saturday night.

Chicago (9-12-10) has avoided defeat in each of its last three visits to the Red Bulls, with two wins. New York (8-13-10), coming off a 5-3 win over D.C. United last Saturday, hasn’t won consecutive regular-season games since late August last season.

Koutsias headed in Xherdan Shaqiri’s cross for Chicago’s first shot of the game.

Julian Hall made MLS history for New York. At 15 years, 190 days, Hall became the second-youngest player to debut in an MLS match, trailing former D.C. United star Freddy Adu at 14 years, 306 days.

Both teams next play Wednesday. The Fire host Inter Miami and the Red Bulls visit Cincinnati.
