WASHINGTON – D.C. has rolled out seven more speed and stop sign cameras this week.
D.C. police announced Monday that it would begin issuing warnings to drivers caught by the new cameras, which were placed in areas where speeding and pedestrian safety has been a problem, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Beginning in February, drivers will be issued tickets in the mail instead of warnings.
They new cameras can be found in districts 2, 4, 5 and 7.
- Speed: 3400 block of 34th Street NW – northbound
- Speed: 100 block of Michigan Avenue NW – eastbound
- Speed: 100 block of Irving Street NW – westbound
- Speed: Unit block of Irving Street NW eastbound
- Speed: 3000 block of North Capitol Street NW – southbound
- Speed: 3600 block of Eastern Avenue NE – southeastbound
- Stop: Bruce Place eastbound at 15th Place SE
