WASHINGTON — Here’s a few of the best holiday-themed shows in the D.C. area, from opera to ballet to jazz to a walk through Frederick, Md.

Nov. 28: National Christmas Tree Lighting The 96th Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting includes musical performances from Abby Anderson, Anthony Kearns, the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Gabby Barrett, LOCASH and more, as well as the lighting itself, on the Ellipse in President’s Park at the White House.
