Officials seek suspect who shot man at Charles Co. motel

WASHINGTON — Charles County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man they say shot another in a motel room Thursday afternoon.

Deputies responded to the Super 8 motel on Crain Highway in Waldorf, Maryland, around 2 p.m., and found a man who was shot once in the buttocks.

The two men got into an argument in the motel room, and when the victim was leaving, the suspect shot him, said Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson. The victim is expected to be OK, Richardson said.

Investigators are working on leads to find the suspect who fled before deputies arrived at the motel.
