WASHINGTON — Royal Air Maroc, the national airline of Morocco, starts Washington’s first nonstop service to Casablanca Thursday evening with service from Dulles International Airport.
Royal Air Maroc will fly nonstop from Dulles three times a week, with connecting service to Marrakech.
The first flight from Casablanca arrives at 9:55 p.m. and will get a water cannon greeting as it taxis to the terminal. The first departure from Dulles to Casablanca leaves at 11:40 p.m.
A check of internet fares finds round-trip tickets at about $900.
Air France is among airlines offering connecting service from Dulles to Casablanca, through Paris. The Air France flight, with layover, is over 12 hours. Royal Air Maroc’s nonstop flight is about 7 hours.
The Royal Air Maroc flight uses the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
