WASHINGTON — Chick-fil-A is adding a new item to its breakfast menu for the first time in six years, but apparently at the expense of an already popular breakfast sandwich.
Chick-fil-A’s new egg white grill, starting at $3.35, includes a smaller “breakfast-sized portion” of grilled chicken breast, egg whites, and cheese on a multigrain English muffin. It has 300 calories and 25 grams of protein.
Many fans on social media noted that Chick-fil-A is also getting rid of its spicy chicken biscuit, which Chick-fil-A has tweeted as necessary to make room for the egg white grill.
@StevenPertle In order to bring new flavors to the menu, the Spicy Chicken Biscuit has been removed to make room for the Egg White Grill.

Chick-fil-A said it’s adding the egg white grill after getting positive feedback from customers in test markets.
Chick-fil-A entered the fast food breakfast battle in 1986 with its chicken biscuit.
