ANNAPOLIS, Md. — By the end of this week, you’ll have two new ways to park in several downtown lots in Maryland’s capital.
The lots include City Dock, Dock Street, Fawcett Lot and Compromise Street Lot in Annapolis.
New multispace parking pay stations let you pay by entering your license plate. You’ll also have the option of using the Parkmobile app.
With Parkmobile, you can pay right on your smartphone by using a credit card or PayPal. Both methods allow you to park and pay without having to schlep back to your car to leave a receipt on the dashboard.
The additions affect more than 200 parking spaces, and there are plans to extend the offerings to more spaces in Annapolis in the near future.
The city put up new signs and is sending out “parking ambassadors” to help drivers out with the new options.
Visit the city’s website for more information on parking.
