Giant opens new store in Alexandria

Situated next to the Potomac Yard shopping center that is anchored by Target, the new Giant is in a growing part of Alexandria.

WASHINGTON — A new Giant grocery store opened Friday on the corner of East Glebe Road and Jefferson Davis Highway in Alexandria.

The new store is 57,716 square feet — three times larger than its previous than the Monroe Avenue store that closed Thursday.
