WASHINGTON — While Wizards fans are no doubt happy about Tuesday night’s win, Virginia fans who have Cox Cable will have to ask their buddies to describe the game to them.
Cox Cable customers in Virginia weren’t able to watch the game.
It was supposed to be on CSN Plus, but CSN Plus was showing the Orioles-Blue Jays game.
CSN’s main channel was showing the Capitals playoff game.
Fans, needless to say, were frustrated and took to social media to vent.
@EBJunkies you guys need to fry Cox cable in Nova tomorrow No Wizards game. O’s instead. Ridiculous

@JBynoe yessir. I literally clicked every channel on my cable box. Search Twitter for “cox wizards” – it is blacked out in VA for an Os game

Cox told me the Wizards game isn’t available in my area? #Cox. Great service!

It turns out CSN Plus and MASN2 share a channel on Cox.
Cox says it was contractually obligated to take MASN2’s feed, which was the Orioles and Blue Jays game.
@Bcva500 Due to contractual obligations, Cox is unable to air NBA playoff Game 2 of the Wash Wizards vs. Toronto Raptors this evening. -Coll
