WASHINGTON — Foo Fighters guitarist and frontman Dave Grohl made a guest appearance on ABC’s “The Muppets” on Tuesday night, but, given his history as drummer with Nirvana and Queens of the Stone Age, the show could only end one way: with a drum-off against noted puppet percussionist Animal.
“I’ve been waiting years for this,” Grohl says before they commence. That’s highly plausible. And it ended probably the only way it could.
