Converse unveils brand new Chuck II

WASHINGTON — Anyone who has ever owned a pair of Chuck Taylors knows the truth — you buy them for what they look like, not how they feel.

In accordance, Converse’s reimagining of its classic sneaker does nothing to change the look while doing everything to improve the comfort of the shoe. The Chuck II uses Nike Lunaron technology in the soles as a sockliner, providing the type of cushion and arch support that the original Chucks have lacked since their debut in 1917.

While the new edition will look the same, it will be produced from a new microfiber canvas. The shoes will come in the classic black, as well as red, white and blue. Converse will release more information about the new sneaker next week and you can find out more at converse.com.
