WASHINGTON — Meg Ryan’s former San Francisco home that she shared with actor Dennis Quaid sold for less than its $9 million asking price last summer, but it’s still a stunner.
Ryan’s former Victorian home in Pacific Palisades sold for $8.25 million. The romantic comedy queen, who has starred in hits such as “Sleepless in Seattle,” “You’ve Got Mail,” and “When Harry Met Sally,” lived in the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom house for a decade, TopTenRealEstateDeal.com reports.
Ryan and Quaid lived in the house together when they were married from 1991 through 2001.
The home was built in 1889 and designed by Samuel Newsom, who also designed the Oakland and Berkley city halls as well as the Napa Valley Opera House.
The house has wide views of the bay, curving stairwell and light hardwood floors. Also, the residence has been used as a location for a feature film and a TV pilot, as well as in catalogs for Pottery Barn and Design within Reach.
