WASHINGTON — A woman was found stabbed in a burning house Thursday afternoon in Woodbridge, Virginia, and police say they’ve arrested and charged the man connected to the stabbing.

Noel Quinteros-Ramierz, 30, was charged with malicious wounding, Prince William County police said. More charges are pending.

Police say the woman is expected to survive, but initially, her injuries were said to be life-threatening.

They responded to a report of a stabbing just before 4:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Longview Drive. Police found the residence on fire and a woman with stab wounds.

Police say two children were also involved, but were not injured.

The three officers who entered the home to see if there were more victims were taken to the hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. One officer has been released.

Details around the stabbing and the cause of the fire are still under investigation.
