Shooting investigation causes Prince William Co. schools’ late dismissal

WASHINGTON — Several Prince William County schools will be dismissed later Monday following a shooting investigation near one of the schools.

On Monday afternoon, Graham Park Middle School was in a “secure-the-building” status as police investigated reports of gunshots heard near the school located at 3613 Graham Park Rd, Triangle, Virginia.

The school said all of the kids are safe, but dismissal will be delayed.

The delayed dismissal at Graham Park will impact Dumfries, Triangle and Ashland elementary schools, the school system reports.

The school system says to expect about a 15-minute delay.
