Police: New push to catch killers of young Woodbridge mom

WASHINGTON — Prince William County police officers have renewed efforts to find the men who murdered a young mother — execution style — more than one year ago.

Billboard - ActualIn February 2014, video footage caught three men entering the Plantanillos Grocery and Jewelry store in Woodbridge along route 1, where they executed 21-year-old Glenda Coca-Romero.  Another store employee, a 42-year-old woman, was shot, but she survived.

The men dressed in black with their faces covered were in and out of the store within about ten-seconds.  The men did not take any money or property from the store.

Along with the $21,000 being offered, a billboard has gone up on route 1 — between Mt. Pleasant Drive and Dawson Beach Road — not far from Plantanillos Grocery.  Digital ads have been placed at bus stop shelters throughout the D.C. area.

Those with information should call police, the FBI or Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS.  Insidenova.com spoke to  police. They say immigration status won’t be a concern and that anyone is eligible for the $21,000 reward — whether you’re in the country legally or illegally.

Coca-Romero is survived by her daughter, now two years old. Coca-Romero’s father is raising her child.
