2 die in SUV, ATV crash in Prince George’s Co.

WASHINGTON — Two people are dead after a crash involving a SUV and all-terrain vehicle in Prince George’s County Wednesday night.

Police responded to the crash at Race Track Road and Old Chapel Road in Bowie just before midnight, Bowie Chief of Police John Nesky says.

Two people on the ATV were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was treated for minor injuries at the scene, Nesky says.

Police are investigating what caused the crash.

The two victims’ identities have not yet been released.

The crash happened hours before another fatal collision in the county.

Two vehicles collided along Laurel-Bowie Road near Powder Mill Road in Laurel, Maryland, around 12:50 p.m. leading to one man’s death.
