Some Democrats are edging away from Obamacare

By Joan Jones

They’re doing the “I told you so” dance at the GOP.

After years of calling Obamacare “unwieldy,” a “monstrosity” and a “train wreck” the Obama Administration is taking heat for playing into its opponents’ hands.

The criticism has been relentless and it’s coming from all sides. And President Barack Obama’s plan to fix it is running into trouble as well.

“The site will be fixed, in his words, ‘for the vast majority of people.’ So that suggests that there will still be problems after Nov. 30,” says Paul Brandus of West Wing Reports on Jeffrey Zients promise to repair the site.

So far the March 31 deadline for enrollment is still on. The administration says it expects most customers to enroll near the end of the sign-up process.

According to a Gallup poll, the president’s job approval rating declined more than 3 percentage points from the last quarter.

“Well he is near a two-year low, 44 percent, that is if you average out all recent polls.”

Paul Brandus adds that by comparison, Obama’s not doing too well

“Way below Dwight Eisenhower, way below Reagan, way below Clinton.”

Brandus blames it on the fiasco of the Obamacare website. And he says Americans are being told that they’ll be dropped from the health plans they were promised they could keep, because those plans don’t comply with the federal law.
