Powerful storms leave hundreds without power

WASHINGTON – Storms that rolled through the D.C. area Tuesday night left hundreds without electricity.

Many remained without power Wednesday afternoon.

As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, Pepco was reporting about 400 customers  were in the dark in the District and another 50 outages in Montgomery County, down from as many as 6,000 customers who were in the dark at 7 a.m.
