Bill Murray to wish us ‘A Very Murray Christmas’

WASHINGTON – He was hilarious in Richard Donner’s “Scrooged” (1988).

Now, Bill Murray is busting out his holiday chops again with “A Very Murray Christmas.”

Variety reports that Netflix will stream the special this December, following Murray as he waits at the Carlyle hotel worrying that a New York City snowstorm will delay guests for his TV show.

It’ll be directed by Sofia Coppola, who directed Murray in “Lost in Translation” (2004), from a script by Coppola, Murray and Mitch Glazer, who co-wrote “Scrooged.”

The cast includes George Clooney, Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Rashida Jones and Miley Cyrus.
