17-year-old arrested after bringing gun to DC school

WASHINGTON — D.C. police arrested a 17-year-old who brought a gun into a Southeast high school Wednesday morning.

A student tried to enter Ballou High School, 3401 4th St. SE, with a gun around 9 a.m. Police say metal detectors inside the school helped detect the weapon.

School resource officers stopped and arrested him, and no one was injured.
