WASHINGTON — You can get your name in for free tickets to the National Christmas tree lighting on the Ellipse in President’s Park, starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7.
Tickets are only be available for the Dec. 1 event through the online lottery. It opens at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7 and closes at 10 a.m. Oct. 10.
If you don’t have computer access, you can call 877-444-6777 to enter the lottery.
Lottery winners will be notified on Oct. 27. The Hallmark Channel will broadcast the event on Dec. 5. It will be simulcast on DirecTV 4K Ultra HD. Previously, the National Park Service said the broadcast would be on Dec. 2.
James Taylor has been added to the lineup for the 94th annual lighting.
Chance The Rapper, Kelly Clarkson and Yolanda Adams also will perform.
