Active shooter drill to be held at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling

WASHINGTON (AP) _ The Navy says military personnel at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington are holding an active-shooter drill as part of anti-terrorism training.

The Navy says in a statement that the event Wednesday morning is designed to test security measures and emergency responses, as well as communications at the installation.

The drill is expected to start around 10 a.m.

Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling is located in Southeast Washington. It was established in 2010 by a consolidation of Naval Support Facility Anacostia and the adjacent Bolling Air Force Base.
