One killed, another injured in Southeast D.C. shooting

WASHINGTON — A man is dead and another man is injured after a shooting in D.C. on Monday night.

Police say both men were shot along Eaton Road near Firth Sterling Avenue in Southeast Washington.

At this time, police have not said what led to the shooting, but detectives are continuing to investigate.

There have been 119 homicides in D.C. this year, a nearly 50 percent increase over last year.
