WASHINGTON — Legendary musician Stevie Wonder will perform five songs Monday at the D.C. Armory Mall, according to the D.C. Office of Motion Picture & Television Development.
The pop-up concert is free and open to the public, and it comes as part of a news conference about Stevie Wonder’s “Songs in the Key of Life Performance” tour.
The film office and Live Nation teamed up for the pop-up event to promote Wonder’s fall concerts.
“He’s going on from here to do the same thing in Philadelphia and then on to New York City, so we’re really lucky to be the first,” says Ted Mankin, vice president of booking at Live Nation.
“This is the second leg of a tour that started last year.”
Wonder has been on tour almost a year.
He and his 22-piece band will come back Saturday, Oct. 3 to the Verizon Center. Tickets, which start at $59, go on sale Friday.
The Armory Mall is located at 2400 East Capitol Street SE.

If you plan to go, there is limited parking at RFK Stadium in Lot 3. It costs $7.
