Baltimore state’s attorney arrested on child porn charges

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore County police have arrested an assistant state’s attorney in Baltimore City on child pornography charges.

The department said in a news release that 39-year-old Patrick Michael Moran of Nottingham was arrested after his home was raided early Tuesday. He is charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.

Detectives say they got a tip about child pornography being shared on the internet. Police say they identified Moran’s address as a source of child porn.

Investigators say they found pictures and videos of child pornography at Moran’s home.

Police say Moran was assigned to the juvenile division in the Baltimore state’s attorney’s office.

A spokeswoman for the office says Moran is no longer employed there.

A phone number could not be found for Moran; online court records do not list a lawyer.
