D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (AP) — The DUI trial of a founding member of the band 3 Doors Down has been postponed in Mississippi at his attorney’s request.
The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1pI4rwA ) reports Todd Harrell was set for trial Monday in D’Iberville Municipal Court on a charge of driving under the influence of a substance other than alcohol, second offense.
Court officials said no reason was given for the postponement. The new trial date is Dec. 16.
The DUI charge alleges Harrell was driving impaired by prescription drugs in D’Iberville on Feb. 18. Harrell is on house arrest in Nashville, Tennessee, pending resolution of charges including vehicular homicide by intoxication. In that case, he’s is accused of driving impaired in a crash that killed Paul Howard Shoulders Jr. in April 2013.
In February, 3 Doors Down suspended Harrell indefinitely from the band.
