Weekly Crime Report: Sept. 1 to Sept. 9

This week’s 2nd District crime summary includes more thefts from cars parked at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, plus an arrest in a pharmacy burglary:

A commercial burglary occurred at Patient Pharmacy, 10401 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda overnight between Tuesday, 9/2 and the early morning on Wednesday, 9/3. Forced entry; property taken.

Arrested: Male, age 37, of an unknown address

A residential burglary occurred in the 11400 block of Commonwealth Avenue in Rockville on Wednesday, 9/3 at approximately 3:15 p.m. Forced entry; nothing taken and the suspect is known to the victim.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred at 5701 Marinelli Road in North Bethesda. Two different daytime thefts were reported from the parking lot of the Marriott Hotel. Entry was forced in both cases and purses were taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5500 block of Trent Street in Chevy Chase on Saturday, 9/6 between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred overnight between Monday, 9/8 and Tuesday, 9/9 in the Sumner neighborhood on Carlton Street and Scarsdale Road in Bethesda. No signs of forced entry were noted in either instance. Loose cash was reported taken.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 6000 block of Conway Road in Bethesda on Monday, 9/8 at approximately 9:00 p.m. It is unknown what was taken.
