Weekly Crime Report: Nov. 4 to Nov. 12

A pair of robberies and a string of pharmacy break-ins lead this week’s crime report:

An armed robbery occurred in the 5600 block of Luxemburg Street in North Bethesda on Saturday, 11/9 at approximately 11:30 p.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

Suspects: B/M, 20-29, braids; B/M, 20-29, 5’6”/160 lbs.

A robbery occurred in the 4700 block of Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda on Friday, 11/8 at approximately 6:00 p.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and obtained property.

Suspect: B/M, 20-25, 5’7”/140 lbs., wearing a black knit hat and black jacket.

A commercial burglary occurred at Knowles Apothecary, 10400 Connecticut Avenue in Kensington on Wednesday, 11/6. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at Kensington Pharmacy, 3737 University Boulevard in Kensington on Saturday, 11/9 at approximately 6:30 a.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at Bradley Drugs located at 6900 Arlington Road in Bethesda on Sunday, 11/10 at approximately 2:15 a.m. Forced entry; unknown what was taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at River RX, 5257 River Road in Bethesda on Monday, 11/11 between midnight and 6:40 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at Bethesda Beer & Wine, 8015 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda on Tuesday, 11/12 at approximately 5:00 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 9900 block of Thornwood Road in Kensington on Monday, 11/4 between 10:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 4100 block of Saul Road in Kensington on Monday, 11/4 between 9:20 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

Thefts of exterior property from three homes occurred between Wednesday, 11/6 and Sunday, 11/10. Incidents occurred on Glenridge Street, Locust Hill Road and Elmhirst Drive in Bethesda.

A residential burglary occurred in the 10500 block of Weymouth Street in Bethesda on Wednesday, 11/6 between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Forced entry; unknown what was taken.

Arrested: Male, age 26, from Bethesda

A theft occurred on Saturday, 11/9 between noon and 2:45 p.m. in the 10200 block of Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda. A wallet was taken from the victim’s purse.

A theft occurred on Saturday, 11/9 between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the 5400 block of Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda. The victim’s cell phone was taken.

A weapons violation occurred at Georgetown Prep School, located on Rockville Pike in North Bethesda on Wednesday, 11/6. A press release was issued regarding this incident.

Arrested: Male, age 51, from Frederick

A residential burglary occurred in the 7500 block of Nevis Road in Bethesda on Friday, 11/8 between 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 7000 block of Broxburn Drive in Bethesda on Friday, 11/8 between 2:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 7300 block of Heatherhill Court in Bethesda between 11/8 and 11/10. No forced entry; property taken.

Seven thefts from vehicles occurred overnight between Wednesday, 11/6 and Thursday, 11/7. Entry was forced into many of the vehicles and auto parts were taken. Streets affected included: Harwick Road, Mohican Road, Davenport Terrace, Tomlinson Avenue, and Wynnwood Road in Bethesda.

Two thefts occurred on Wednesday, 11/6 between 8:00 a.m. and noon. Property was taken from the exterior of the homes on Worthington Drive in Bethesda.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 5500 block of Devon Road in Bethesda on Friday, 11/8 between 11:40 a.m. and 12:12 p.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5400 block of Alta Vista Road in Bethesda on Friday, 11/8 between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Forced entry; property taken

A residential burglary occurred in the 5900 block of Aberdeen Road in Bethesda between Monday, 11/11 Tuesday, 11/12. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A theft occurred at 7101 Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda on Saturday, 11/9 between 5:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Property was taken from the victim’s purse.

A residential burglary occurred in the 10600 block of Democracy Lane in Potomac on Monday, 11/11 between 8:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
