Service spares guys dressing room misery

WASHINGTON – Some men will do anything to avoid dressing rooms.

Many just turn over control to their wives, but a new subscription service allows men to reclaim the closet.

Simply sign up and provide sizes and style preferences. The service chooses the particular clothing and ships it right to his door, The Wall Street Journal reports.

One service, Trunk Club, even asks whether a man likes to wear his button-down shirts tucked in or out. A stylist contacts the man to make sure the shopper’s preferences are understood.

Another service, OutfitEZ bills customers monthly (anywhere from $50 to $150 depending on the subscription level) with quarterly seasonal shipments of clothes.

A third service, Bombfell, sends a single item each month, and the price is always the same — $69.

The Wall Street Journal reports returning clothes is easy, since most come with prepaid shipping labels.

In some cases, the clothes seemed slightly overpriced, not necessarily what the reporter and her husband would have chosen, and at times outdated — but not enough to quash his excitement about avoiding dressing rooms.
