Arlington County Police are investigating a daytime assault in the Douglas Park neighborhood.
The incident happened just past 11:00 a.m. Initial reports suggest a man was struck in the head with a baseball bat near the intersection of 16th Street S. and Glebe Road.
The victim was transported to the trauma center at Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment. No word yet on his condition. A suspect, possibly a relative of the victim, has been taken into custody, according to police radio traffic.
